Objective
A line of rums based on the myths of Odysseus, as written in Homer's epic "The Odyssey." Each type of rum focuses on a relevant mythological being Odysseus encountered on his journey across the Sea of Monsters.
Deliverables
Brand name and logo, unique product names, illustrated packaging labels, and back labels with copy that connects the character of each rum to the story that inspired it.
Process
I already knew a lot about Greek mythology, but I did a lot of research on different kinds of rum. I wanted to make sure each kind of rum (overproof, dark, and premium aged) had a connection to the mythological being I paired it with. The illustration style is reminiscent of Greek painted pottery with a bright, yet refined, color palette.
The logo font is hand-illustrated and the back label copy was written by me. I used Procreate, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
